This weekend is the 13th annual #ChiliPawty so to get the pawty started, we're turning things over to @kittehboi, one of #Nipclub's founding members and our current Head DJ. This Thursday May 5th (that's right, Cinco de Mayo) #NipClub will have a Cantina Night Pawty with South of the Border fun, drinks, noms, and music.
But before we get into that, we want to take a moment to mention that the lovely human of another one of our founding members and longtime Head Barktender @MarioDaCat has passed.
Mary Roever (Mario's mom) was one of the original Twitter anipals and was a huge force behind #PawPawty and #Nipclub. Mary even traveled toe country meeting anipals and their humans as often as she could, and often helping them when in need. Mary Roever, we salute you! Have a safe journey to the human Rainbow Bridge. Some day @MarioDaCat will join you. In the mean time, we'll watch out for Mario while he's here on earth.
So...pull out your Cinco de Mayo and ChiliPawty gear if you've got it. If not, DM @realfakegator ASAP to get fitted. Feel free to wear your natural fins, fur, feathers, skin, etc. because that's ALWAYS in style!
What's Cinco de Mayo?
CINCO DE MAYO, originally celebrated in Mexico in remembrance of their victory over France in the mid 1800s, though over the years has become a commercial holiday in America, a day to drink Cerveza and eat Mexican food. Hey, that sounds good to us at #NipClub!!!
What's #Chilipawty?
#Chilipawty is an annual Twitter Charity Pawty that began May 2010 as a way to celebrate @sisfurcats Chilipepper's 13th birthday and has evolved over the years into a big todo with DJ's to give us something to sing and dance to, Barktenders to keep the drinks flowing, and Prizemasters to give away lots of prizes (there HAS to be prizes!), and a Sekurity team to keep an eye out for bots and norty ladies. Each year a deserving charity receives the donations made by partygoers during the pawty.

#ChiliPawty started in 2010, not 2020.
The second #ChiliPawty was in 2012 and it's been held every year since.
