The Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) takes place on November 1st & 2nd.  It is celebrated primarily in Mexico, but also some other central & South American countries and Mexican-American communities.  It is a bittersweet holiday that honors and pays respects to family and friends who have died.

There are personal ways such as building then decorating an alter with flowers, photos and mementos; visiting the loved ones gravesite to clean & decorate graves;  and preparing/sharing traditional foods.

There are public celebrations such as parades and festivals, listening to music.

Join us as we celebrate friends new and old, and those no longer with us.  We'll have fun music and  plenty of food to share.
