Many of us old-timers know the phrase "Go fly a kite" as a way of telling an annoying or bothersome person to go away or leave you alone because in order to do this, most likely that person would literally have to leave to go get a kite.
Well, today's "Go Fly a Kite" party, means we're the ones going to go fly a kite. No annoying or bothersome person involved. Why are we flying kites today? Well, with winter melting away and spring beginning to "spring", the warm sunny days also bring windy days. So we're embracing the wind and doing something fun from our childhood....flying a kite!
