Thanks!
Pirate Pawty!
September 19 was a momentous day
Not only was it Talk Like a Pirate Day, it was our own Pirate Captain @kittehboi's birthday!
So, practice your best pirate-speak
and prepare to celebrate with birthday cake. And Rum.
And of course drinks, noms, music & friends (pirate or not)
Over the years, we've had some fine ships and captains. Some are retired,
or perhaps sailing parts unknown in search of treasure
Some have been promoted so spend less time sailing
and may actually have gone into legitimate business!
Some are still sailing today and we might just see them tonight!
The Dead Reckoning has undergone an upgrade after last years battle!
We've had some epic battles in the past. Shayna was kidnapped, Pearl fought valiantly to protect the rum, and at one point, Captain Owen's #Black Paw ran out of cannon balls and had to use kitchen cutlery and frozen turkeys as ammunition. The question remains today, were the frozen turkeys a brilliant strategic move or a blunder? They didn't damage the opposing ships, but they did feed the crews so much that they fell into a full stomach slumber.
These days, there is honor among thieves (well, mostly) and we're more likely to raise a tankard with the other crews than raise a cannon to them. Of course, pirates might still keep the Sekurity team on their toes.
