August is a great month for gazing upward to see some amazing sights in the sky above us.
Besides the events above, there is/was also...
Southern delta Aquariid meteor shower active til August 12
alpha Capricornids meteor shower active until August 12
eta Eridanids meteor shower active early August
Saturn & Neptune conjunction (appear close together)
Of note: Comet 3I/ATLAS, discovered in early July (only the 3rd comet not from our solar system) continues it's one-time passage through.
August activity is slowing down, but look what September has in store for our Aussie and Kiwi pals...
So grab your telescope or binoculars and head out to a dark spot to take a look upward. Too much light pollution where you are? The #Nipclub rooftop observatory will be open. We'll be serving drinks and noms as usual, and the DJ's will be doing their thing. Sekurity will make sure everyone gets a turn at the big telescope.
Join us at the rooftop observatory!
Observatory open! Check out tonights views!
Who else has an eye to the sky? Take a look.
