September 30, 2010 NipClub Barktender Wars!!!!!

Tonight we will feature some of our most creative barktenders going head to head in epic battles of creativity and customer service!!!!

We will start the night with a special guest @RudyCKat versuss @MarioDaCat from 8 to 8:15, then @MarioDaCat will take on KingTuttiFruiti from 8:15 til 9.

At 9 o'clock the marvelous @Meow_Girls will take on the terrific @BunnyJeanCook

Then at 10:00 NipClub will be turned on it's head at the master of mixology @GeorgeTheDuck takes on the super popular, super creative @TinyPearlCat.

So come on in and have some free drinks and noms as these great barktenders go the extra mile to keep you entertained and provide fun for all.

Thursday Sept. 23 Epic DJ Battle and Help A Friend Pawty

#NipClub is holding a few special events today.

From 9:30 to 11 pm EDT @TheNascarKitty will square off against @AutumnTheDoxie and possibly @Kittehboi in an epic DJ battle. They'll be slinging their best tunes and trash talking for your entertainment. The Loser has to streak around NipClub.....but the winner will probably join them. MOL.

We have a friend in need also. Below please see a letter sent by @FuzzyMice about a predicament they are in. If you wish to help please contact them. I am not including their phone number on the blog, but I do have it available if you need it. But please contact them through Twitter if you can.

Hooray for nipclub! Here's the situation. I am a university student, and financial aid has been canceled. I have mental disabilities Asperger's disorder and Major Depression Disorder, and I am waiting on social security and SSI benefits. I filed last month and it can take as long as six months to come through. I have no income, may have to leave school, and cannot find work. Many bills are coming due, including rent. My landlord has given me 30 days to move out, and that notice expires October 9. I have no problem packing my things into a storage and sleeping in my car until SSI comes in, if another housing opportunity does not come, but these cats cannot all live in the car with me. I must make sure the cats are taken care of no matter what.
The cats that I have are abandoneds and strays who I brought in during 2008-2009, so that their kittens would not be born feral. I also have all those kittens. Most are fixed with shots, thanks to my CareCredit and donations from Twitter users. A few still need this care, and chances of adoption would be better for them if I have them fixed first.

This recent kitten season has brought me a few new youngsters, who are all old enough now to be fixed. Also, I have a few cats with special needs, and I would like to offer sponsorships for these cats to increase their chances of adoption.

Operation Fuzzy Mice will not close due to my housing situation. I am still intent on applying for 501c3 and providing financial access to vet care for low-income pet owners. The only thing that must close is the fostering of cats because I won't have a home to put them in. I stopped taking in new cats a few months ago, and now need help placing cats who are still here.

Nipclub donations would first fund as many spays and neuters as possible, then anything left will go towards the special-needs sponsorships. If any is left after my own cats are covered, then it will seed my 501c3 fund for Operation Fuzzy Mice. I do not have a set goal in mind- if I should set one it would be pretty high and might scare people. LOL So I will leave that to nipclub, as every penny will count. Every single penny. My vet charges $45 for neuter, $65 for spay, and $35 for shots (4-in-1 and rabies).

Honoring our Friend @PepiSmartDog

Thursday Sept. 16th, 7 t Midnight EDT (USA) Nipclub will honor the fine Anipal that helps our families with their grieving and helps us cross over the bridge and settle in when our time comes. It's been a whole year since Pepi crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Pepi Price has a long history of being a superstar. Before he went to Rainbow Bridge he won many awards and just loved dressing up. Once he was OTRB he became even a bigger showman. His invention of "mansequins" and his awesome sense of humor has made us all happier.

We are ALL better knowing Pepi.

Come to NipClub and honor our pal. If you wish, dress in Pepi Style, or just come as yourself and pawty your tails off.

We have a special Teleporter onsite so OTRB anipals can come pawty with us.

Please join #NipClub Staff this Thursday, September 9th, as we celebrate Tiger Tommy's life. We have selected Watkins Glen International Nascar race track as the venue. The wineries on Seneca Lake have volunteered to to host a reception at the race track. We will be able to see breath taking vistas along the shores of Seneca Lake. Before the pawty, we can walk through Watkins Glen State

Park to be amazed at the beauty of the Finger Lakes.

Special Hours for September 2, 2010

NipClub will open 2 hours late on Thursday Sept, 2, 2010 so that patrons and staff can enjoy the big wedding.

Once the wedding and reception are over come to #NipClub to keep the pawty going!! 9 to midnight.

Our New Charity

The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the state of Missouri. We are an all volunteer organization that rescues dogs of all ages but especially dogs 5 years of age and older. We actively promote the adoption of older dogs. We spay/neuter all dogs, bring them up to date with shots, worm, microchip and test for heartworms. We provide our dogs with all necessary veterinary care, including treatment for such things as heartworm disease, kennel cough, pneumonia, intestinal parasites, urinary tract infections, fleas and ticks. This is Ellen's blog which describes day to day activities.

MaggieTKat's mom has gone to the adoption events. (Maggie wasn't too keen on looking at dogs. MOL However, there were cats and kittens at the event.) Dogs ranged in age from 5 months to senior, indicating that the STL Senior Dog Project does practice it's charter to rescue dogs of all ages. All the animals are happy and well cared for, and all the volunteers strongly believe in the project.

Huh? You say? Well, lemme explain. Nope, not DRAG as in boys dress as girls and vice versa, but DRAG as in COME AS A DIFFERENT SPECIES!!

On Saturday Aug. 21st we'll have a special event at NipClub. Since a lot of staff and friends have gone off to Barkworld, so we're gonna have a special night of pawtying here. Kind of a "NipWorld".

Special hours for Barkworld Week Aug 19, 2010

Hi NipClub Patrons!!

This week many of our staff and patrons are busy at BarkWorld Expo.

Because of this, we will go with special hours and a casual atmosphere. Opening will probably be a little later, 9 pm EDT to Midnight. We hope some of our patrons at BarkWorld will pop in and give us some insight on how their convention is going.

Tentative Barktenders and DJ's will be:

@MarioDaCat at 9 pm to around 10 pm showing you his mixology skills.

@TinyPearlCat will be a little late, but will help and relieve Mario later with her exotic barktending style.

@CathyKeisha will open the night DJing at 9 pm. Cathy is sure to please.

@KittenBoi will take the 10 pm hour.

After @Kittehboi, we'll unlock the juke box so the patrons can play their favorite tunes till we close.

Of course throughout the night you'll see @KingTuttiFruiti and @TheNascarKitty strolling around helping patrons enjoy their night.
