Hi, this is @TheNascarKitty, #NipClub CEO/Founder, and co- General Manager (along with my partners and fellow co-General Managers: @TinyPearlCat and @RealFakeGator.)
We have an important message for all of you terrific #NipClub patrons and employees.
#NipClub wouldn't exist without YOU and we know it and appreciate all of you.
11 years ago we started NipClub after several of our humans had a rough week at work and just needed to "escape" the turmoil of reality, while also making some money for worthy, well-vetted, animal rescue and charities. (They must be "no-kill" and have a reasonable administrative cost.)
We were all seasoned pawtiers from the monthly #PawPawty, but needed a weekly club. So we made our own.
While our charity giving is what makes us really special, we also strive to be the place where your humans can just "leave" the actual world for a few hours and mindlessly indulge, screw around, mingle, and play in a safe atmosphere.
Read that last paragraph again.
These past few weeks have had a bit of trouble. Anipals harassing other anipals, causing an uncomfortable atmosphere. That's exactly opposite of our goals.
Now we understand from time to time there will be conflicts, arguments, etc, but those have to be taken private and can NEVER fill our timeline/ hashing.
If you can't solve these problems privately, the first step is to just stop and walk away from the anipal you are upset with. Cool down, don't escalate, don't harrass the person you're upset with, if you can't solve it with courteous DMs, perhaps blocking is the best option.
If you need a manager to mediate you can ask onsite staff if they're there at the moment (@TinyPearlCat and @RealFakeGator are NipClub General Managers with full decision making powers and have final say in decisions) OR you can DM me ( @TheNascarKitty ). But remember, it sometimes takes a day or two to filter through all the mentions (it's actually impossible because I get several thousand each day, even more in NipClub Pawty days, so please DM).
Please also watch out for each other if you see somebody harassing, or being harassed, don't engage the people, but help the victim and help steer them to "block", or "block and report" if it's really serious. Blocking somebody isnt permanent, but it allows time to cool down.
Remember, we are "virtual" So there's nothing we can really do to stop a harassed other than blocking (and possibly reporting).
We are also implementing some new club management procedures, to help with employee issues we will have "team leaders" for the DJs and Barktenders.
We are proud to announce that @Kittehboi ( DJ Breeze, who's been on staff since DAY 1 eleven plus years ago) has agreed to be HEAD DJ. He'll help with the schedules as needed, if you cannot make your shift a certain week (illness, vacation, personal reasons) etc let him know as early as possible. If you have found your own replacement let him know, if you need help finding one, also let him know. All questions and concerns with the schedule, themes, etc, should go to Breeze. His decisions are backed by Pearl, Gator, and myself.
We are also thrilled to announce that @GeorgeTheDuck will be taking the role of Head Barktender, a role he has much experience at already. George is an original Founding Member of #NipClub and has held many staff and management positions (often at the same time). He will be in charge of the Barktenders including hiring, scheduling, filling vacancies, helping arrange training for new. Barktenders, helping with conflict resolution etc. Barktenders please let him know ASAP if you need to miss your shift and if you need help filling it. George's decisions are backed by Pearl, Gator, and myself.
We are also considering bringing back a security crew like we used to have at our 24 hour Nipclub Monthly pawties, if you are interested in joining the team, ease DM me (@TheNascarKitty) and we will arrange training.
A few more announcements
After years of faithful service as a DJ and helper at #NipClub, @ScoobyDaDog will be retiring from active duty. We appreciate his years of service and hope he comes to pawty with us. He joins a great group of Emeritus DJs and Barktenders including @MarioDaCat, @HollieCatRocks, @RudyTKat, @MulderCat, @MeisRoxyThePug, @JinJinDoggy, and so many others who worked for us and made #NipClub great.
We would also like to announce the addition of @MrWuggums (DJ Heri) to the permamant DJ roster. He will settle into his regular shift in 2 weeks, and may often run an extra late shift. Wuggums and Heri are newer faces, but overcome the last year they've worked hard to promote NipClub and filled in as needed on staff vacancies. They were so pawty planners/hosts of the first ever cross-over anipal pawty ever
July 29th we will have our annual SHARKWEEK Pawty, start thinking of your costumes now, then on August 5th we will be holding a new Japanese Cuisine themed pawty.
