#NipClub Co-Manager @RealFakeGator was recently falsely imprisoned in Twitter Jail and served a good stretch of time before being paroled.
We're so glad he's out. We know jail can change a man, and we know that Gator was lonely and depressed (they mistook this gently Catahoula for a Pit Bull and kept him in Solitary Confinement. ) So, we decided that since it's Valentines Day, that we'd ALL be his Valentine this year. Even the guys (it's a brotherhood thing, Gator loves the ladies).
So, this week at #NipClub, everybody take a few moments to let Gator know how important he is to #NipClub. When @FlaCatLady & @MaggieTKat & @KingTuttiFruiti dreamed up #NipClub as a way to blow off steam before the weekend, and also serve various animal charities, there was no inkling of how big it would become.
The first week @KingTuttiFruiti & @MaggieTKat barktended and hosted nearly the whole 5 hour pawty, and I DJ'd for like, 4 hours straight. But anipals were interested. And certain anipals came to mind when we needed more help. We enlisted friends @MarioDaCat, @GeorgeTheDuck , @Kittehboi, @AutumTheDoxie and @BunnyJeanCook. They are always there when we need them and are the very heart of twitter.
But we still didn't have enough help to run the bar without wearing out our barktenders. One pretty little cat volunteered to learn to barktend. That kitty was @TinyPearlCat.
I knew TinyPearl from my other project the AnipalAcademyAwards where she was just blowing us away with her IT skills for photoshop, blogging, etc. We hooked her up with #pawpawty head Barktender @GeorgeTheDuck who gave her some training, but pretty soon she was outshining even the most experienced barktenders. Not only did she have a very unique service method, but creativity galore, making personalized drinks for tons of pawtiers, and even devoloping a menu of drinks. She was soon made Bar Manager. #NipClub is especially proud that Pearl was asked to be a #PawPawty Barktender. #NipClub staffers are among the most reliable creative workers on the anipal circuit!!
NipClub was growing, so I started a blog. Very basic...I was caveman as far as blogging goes, and FlaCatLady decided we needed a Noms/Drink menu to help customers decide what to order. For a couple weeks we sent suggestions to TinyPearl, then all of a sudden BOOM we had a Noms/Drink menu that's the envy of even more established pawties.
With @TinyPearlCat's help the blog itself grew, and continued to grow. Pearl added a game room, a store, DJ and Barktender pages. And soon TinyPearl moved us forward into a new era of catering. We debutted by catering @PandaFur and @PetieTheCat's wedding. Soon #NipClub become the "place to go" for personalized catering of pawties, weddings, meetings, and whatever else you needed. We provided all the graphics, barktenders, DJs, publicity, and hosted the event on our timeline. We did a LOT of very big events.
As time went on, we grew bigger and bigger, often during our pawties "#NipClub" would be trending on Twitter and sometimes we were so busy that Twitter would occasionally crash during our pawtys. Eventually the hosts of the original anipal pawty #PAWPAWTY asked us to take over their Monthly 24 hour pawties. None of this would have been possible without @TinyPearlCat. She went on to become our IT/Grpahics Genius and was made my Co-Manager.
Pals and Employees come and go. And we love them all, but from the very start til now and beyond, @TinyPearlCat is #NipClub's Heart and Soul. Each week she makes the blog functional, creates terrific graphics (we've since added graphics genius Co-Manager @RealFakeGator to the management team), she works with the charities to create functional donation programming, she barktends for hours and hours, keeping everybody happy, and she's STILL there when the last pawtier passes out (She cover's each of them with a custom blanket). And then she starts all over for the next week.
Without her, there would be no #NipClub. And this week's pawty is for her. Treat her like the Royalty she is.

#NipClub Founding Member @GeorgeTheDuck celebrated his birthday last week. He's been a Twitter fixture since well before #NipClub. This little NipDucky is the mascot (he says BOSS) of all the critters (and the Typist) at the House of Mostly Black Cats. But he spends most of his time being a Naughty Bachelor Duck.
Since he's a NipDuck, it's always been a problem keeping him from being Nommed at Pawty's. We've implemented a "no nomming George" rule, but you know how bad NipClubbers are at following rules. So George just keeps the cats "nipped" so they can't concentrate on nomming him.
He can usually be found floating in a "Tuna Niptini" sometimes during each pawty, drinking it as he swims.
George and his fursibblings as well as his typist have always been hard workers at pawtys, and behind the scenes. Not only do they help with planning, menu making, graphics, avatars, PR, and prizes (both donating and as Quizmaster), but George and his Sisfur @SanjeeTheCat spend a lot of time both barktending and DJing.
So, since we missed his birthday (he graciously let us honor his closest buddy (and frequent partner in shenanigans) @MarioDaCat that night), we'll take tonight to celebrate the birthday of one of our oldest friends.
George loves good dance tunes (a soft spot for 80s music) and great noms. So we'll tailor the music and noms to Georgie's tastes tonight.

George's prized 1958 Cadillac Couple DeVille. He keeps "Losing" it (he wont drink and drive
but he usually doesn't remember where he parked it). But we always find it for him.

Pals, let me take you back to the very beginning of #NipClub. Founders @FlaCatLady @KingTuttiFruiti and @TheNascarKitty assembled a very special team including @GeorgeTheDuck, @AutumnTheDoxie, @TinyPearlCat, @MaggieTKat, @Kittehboi, @BunnyJeanCook, @BrutusTheDane, @HankTheDoggy and several others, BUT perhaps the most intriguing, hard working employee of #NipClub was a special toothless black and white kitty named @MarioDaCat who went on to become our Head Barktender and a member of our very important PR team. Mario was quite a "lady's man". A hopeless flirt, a hard worker, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to cry into, a helper in every situation. I wish some of you newer #NipClub Pawtiers could have met him. Here's an blogpost from way back in 2011 that tells you more about him. It's a bit outdated, but I'm printing it in it's entirety because it's Important. When an Anipal first comes to Twitter there's a really good chance one of the first anipals they'll meet, and certainly one of the first they'll follow is @MarioDaCat. Mario is sweet, kind, funny, supportive and sometimes just a little naughty. He's also a super hard-working guy. Whether it's just mingling, goofing around, helping publicize events like PawPawty, NipClub, Anipal Academy Awards, barktending for a huge variety of pawties, or just helping cheer up a friend, Mario is usually on the twitter-timeline most of the day.
He's usually one of the first to send prayers, best wishes, condolences, congratulations, or just love to anipals who need it. But did you know Mario hasnt had it easy? He's had to withstand medical conditions that are just unbelievable. Poor Mario eventually lost all his teeth to a rare feline disease that almost claimed his life, but he is one cat with a huge will to live and he triumphed over it!!

He has a 3 part post about where his "teeth went" that is a must read for all pet lovers. You need to be aware of the terrible affliction that could endanger your kitty's life.
Also, please look through his blog and see all the fellow animals needing rescue that Mario has helped out. There is a new article about @SiafraCat, just one of many animals that benefitted from Mario's compassion.
Mario is always there to help us carry our burdens, with soft encouragement, hugs, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, he never asks for more than you friendship and repays it with the kindest loving friendship.
Mario's next endeavor is helping his parents endure the Parkinson's Disease which afflicts them both. I know Mario will try to shoulder as much of the burden as he can....and I also know Mom and Dad will do everything they can to make sure Mario's life remains as normal as possible.
Mario's Mom Mary is having some difficulty typing for Mario now, which hopefully will improve as she gets treatment, but they will have to move to a new ranch style house better suited to their needs. It's gonna be a big
change for Mario, so let's spend a night letting him know how much we love him!!!!
Update: In the years since this article was posted, Mario was very active at #NipClub for as long as he could be, but Mom Mary and Dad Don eventually had to move to an assisted living and Mary just couldn't tweet for Mario any more. And just after after New Years 2020 Mario's Dad, Don passed away.
